Requirements

• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (all Microsoft OS are supported from XP version)
• All Mednafen version from 0.9.x.x

First Running

• Extract MedGuiReborn archive into a folder, run the 'MedGuiR.exe' executable and choose your Mednafen directory.
• You can import a single file or a entire folder by pressing icon on top left of GUI, or by set def/custom folder on 'Rom Path' section or by drag & drop file/folder into main grid.

Auto Update

• Automatically download and upgrade using the 'Updates button' (blue icon) located into 'General' tab ** You can tick 'Force' to update MedGuiR into intermediate version
• You can update also Mednafen to the last version by 'Updates button' (blue icon) located into 'General' tab
• Tick 'Auto' to perform a update control at MedGuiR start (it control the last available MedGuiR and Mednafen release)

F.A.Q.

• Q: My antivirus reports executables as malicious programs.
  How should I behave?

• A: The executables are all developed with Visual Studio Community, the code is probably not signed and all new releases are intercepted as possible malicious programs by any antivirus. Unfortunately I have no intention of purchasing any signature certificate as the programs are all free, MedGui and then MedGuiR have been running on the web since 2007 and no one has ever complained of anomalous behaviour.
  

• Q: The frontend has too complex interface, why don't you simplify it?
  

• A: Mednafen runs well on very old PCs and Medgui was created to run on Windows XP and upper and on netbooks with very small displays (7" and upper). I have no intention of rewriting the code solely for aesthetic reasons and in any case no particular computer knowledge is necessary for the basic functions of the frontend.
  

• Q: MedGui tries to connect to x/y server, why?

• A: The program checks for Mednafen and MedGui updates on GitHub. Other connections concern the download of the Boxarts from thegamesdb.
  FTP connections are made on my personal servers, only for old systems that do not support TLS 1.2 and higher protocols, to guarantee updates and downloads to XP users and to be able to play online session via Mednafen (don't worry, I don't know what to do with your data regarding online gaming sessions).
